What's New at Messina

Your favourite Gelato store is kicking off the new year with a bang! Keep checking this page to see what's new at Messina each month:

Messina's Monthly Shakes

Every month Messina is releasing two shake specials across all stores, so you can get your hands on our delicious drinkable desserts, for a limited time.

Pulp Fiction: Lemon, passionfruit, mango, salted coconut with mango salsa, soda water, passionfruit pulp; $12

Triple Threat: Salted caramel with white choc, dulce de leche, vanilla cream and popcorn peanut praline; $12

Messina have been releasing these new shakes, mostly because they are frikin’ delicious, but also because it’s a primo way to taste our pure Jersey Milk from the Messina Dairy Farm in Numurkah (VIC). They are now completely self-sufficient when it comes to high-quality Jersey milk supply.

Messina use it to make all of their gelato and of course shakes – every last one of them. Read more about our farms HERE.

Feeling Thorny?

Sure, receiving a bouquet of roses is uber romantic, but a gelato rose will melt their heart, AND satisfy their stomach. No one wants a hangry Valentine after all.

Guaranteed to be as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, avoid the disappointment of getting your loved one a flower they can't eat and double your chances of getting lucky — serves two after all.

How Can I Get This Glorious Cake?
Order Online
‍You can order online for pick up in store at Tramsheds

Taking Your Cake Home
When ordering your cake, make sure to select a pick up time between 12pm and 10pm on either the 13th or 14th February. Unfortunately, you cannot pick up before the 13th Feb - sorry!

Travel Time
The rose can travel for 20 - 30 minutes outside of the freezer. After then it will have to be eaten or popped back in the freezer until it's time to share with your Valentine.

To enhance the flavours and assist in cutting, the cake should be removed from the freezer and placed in the fridge 10 mins before serving. Always use a hot, sharp knife and ensure you wipe off any excess water to prevent depositing ice crystals on the cake.

Remove the cake from the cake board and lift off the thick chocolate disk at the bottom. The disk is 100% fine to eat, just a little too solid to cut through.

Then, you can eat it however you like. But if you're looking for tips, we recommend cutting it down the middle so you get to try all the flavours together and see the pretty cross section.
